Continuing the scholarship program “For a Bright Tomorrow” that Van Tay has regularly held every quarter, the destination for this sixth edition is Dak Lak Province.
1. Lunch in the Deep Forest
This time, we collaborated with an Evangelical organization to visit and carry out the program in a small village located deep within the forest.
To get there, the entire group had to take a tractor for nearly an hour, passing through vast rice fields and muddy roads, especially traversing the Nam Kar Nature Reserve.
Upon arrival, we quickly implemented activities such as haircuts, serving shaved ice syrup, and preparing 200 portions of grilled spring roll vermicelli for lunch. Simultaneously, we conducted activities to guide the children on how to wash their hands thoroughly before meals.
2. Lighting Up the Remote Village
While implementing the program in the forest, a technical team arrived in the H’mong Cu Siêng village to install a solar power system funded by a benefactor.
This village is isolated on elevated land surrounded by rice fields, where the power grid has not yet reached.
3. Supporting Education to School
Van Tay Media accompanied the team and donated 50 scholarship gifts to 50 children aged 6 to 15 in Buon Phok.
Visiting during the National Day holiday on September 2, the boarding school children returned home for a few days, giving us the opportunity to meet more of them.
Although these gifts consisted of just notebooks and pens, we always hope that they will serve as a spiritual encouragement for the children on their journey of learning.
Concluding the two-day, one-night trip from August 31 to September 1, 2024, in Dak Lak, though brief, it was filled with memorable experiences. We look forward to seeing you again on the seventh volunteer trip.
